Please attend the CMFCAA support group meetings on the first Tuesday of each month to receive a free hour of training each month! Here is a list of those upcoming trainings:
September 14, 2010 The IEP Process Part 1
This is an in-depth look at the evaluation process, qualifying for an IEP, and the many components that must be considered in addressing the IEP process, as well as how progress will be monitored.

October 12, 2010 The IEP Process Part 2
IEP’s can be difficult to navigate. An IEP is the foundation that will result in the success for our children. Part 2 of this training will help parents gain a better understanding of their role as an equal participant in the process.

November 9, 2010 Self-Harming Behaviors
A very real coping mechanism that children use to deal with the mental pain they are experiencing due to sadness and hurtful feelings the do not know how to express any other way except through physical pain. Ways to help will be presented.

ParentLink, within the College of Education at the University of Missouri, invites you to attend a free professional development training event for Juvenile Justice Staff and others who work with at-risk youth. Participants will be fully trained in the Making Proud Choices! Curriculum and receive the skills and materials necessary to implement HIV prevention intervention with at-risk youth.

Audience:
Training is designed for small teams of Juvenile Justice Staff, other professionals, and foster parents who can commit to implementing all eight group sessions of the Making Proud Choices! Curriculum.

The training materials will be provided free of charge to the first
